Domestic Long Hair Cat

Ghoul the Cat needs a home

Playful - Friendly - Cautious Ghoul and his siblings came all the way from North Carolina to join their APA! foster home and, so far, he's doing great. This handsome tabby boy has a sweet face and a white ascot tie (and matching socks) and has made a great impression. Ghoul is a social guy and loves to engage you for pets and cuddles. Ghoul has short spurts of energy in which he zooms around the house, then lays down next to you and start purring. Although he's young, he's relatively chill and doesn't have crazy kitten energy. Ghoul enjoys chasing strings and playing with toys; he also loves playing with his brother, Ghost. Ghoul is not a very vocal kitty and he uses his litter box well. He has only been in his foster home for two weeks, but has already started to warm up to the resident dog (who scared the daylights out of Ghoul at first). He's starting to show interest in socializing with the dog and will sometimes even share the couch with her, though he's not comfortable playing with canines yet. His foster mom thinks he would do fine in a home with a cat-friendly dog who will respect his personal space. Ghoul also likes children (he sometimes sleeps in his teenage human foster sister's bed), but he can get a bit nibbly when playing, so older, cat-savvy kids would be best. All in all, this cat is a friendly guy who would do well in almost any loving home. Ghoul is FeLV+ (Feline Leukemia Virus), which causes a weakened immune system and requires special care. APA! provides some medical assistance after adoption. Cats with FeLV typically have a shortened lifespan. Ghoul is not contagious to people or dogs, but should live only with other FeLV+ cats. For more information, please contact APA! or read more by our Partner, Best Friends Animal Society: http://bit.ly/2FwYCxR All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team. For further information or to meet Ghoul, please email [email protected].
